An activist is asking for help to reach the authorities after he alleged that a child was raped and the victim’s parents accepted money to sweep it under the rug.

The activist wrote on X: “Poverty & ignorance is a very big disease. A child was raped in Port Harcourt, the rapist is offering the child’s parents 500k to forget about the case and these people accepted. I don talk tire.”

He added: “Is there any NGO or government organisations to take up this case, please. @RiversPoliceNG @PoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU is there anything you can do?

“They’ve conducted medical checkup on the child and it shows that she was violated.”
