Beyoncé becomes most-nominated artist ever with 11 nominations at the Grammys
Beyoncé Knowles has made history at the Grammys, leading the 2025 nominations with 11 nods, including for the highly coveted Album of the Year.
She is now the most nominated artiste of all time, surpassing her previous tie with husband Jay-Z, who had 88 nominations.
Beyoncéâs groundbreaking eighth studio album, Cowboy Carter, leads nominations, with seven songs from the album recognized across various genres.
For the first time, Beyoncé has earned nominations in the country and American roots music categories, with tracks like âTexas Hold âEmâ and â16 Carriagesâ receiving nods in the best country song and best country solo performance categories.
Her collaboration with Miley Cyrus on âII Most Wantedâ is nominated for best country duo/group performance.
The Grammy queen is already the most awarded artiste in Grammy history with 32 wins. Her career total now stands at an amazing 99 Grammy nominations, making her the most nominated artiste in Grammy history.
Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Charli XCX, who all skyrocketed to fame this year, each earned first nominations for Album of the Year. They will compete for the top prize with Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish and Beyoncé. Andre 3000 and Jacob Collier round out the category, which could come as a surprise to some.
Carpenter and Roan also scored nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best New Artist. The pop stars are the only artists to earn nominations across what’s known as the “Big Four” categories.
It wasn’t only female singers who had breakout years. Country newcomer Shaboozey scored five nominations, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year for his smash hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
As predicted, Kendrick Lamar’s big year continues as his Drake diss-track “Not Like Us” was nominated for Song of the Year and Record of the Year. He earned seven nominations. He’ll go from the Grammys to the Super Bowl as next year’s headliner.
Lamar, Charli XCX, Post Malone and Billie Eilish trail Beyoncé with seven nominations each. Swift scored six.
The Grammys will take place Feb. 2 at the Crypto Arena in Los Angeles.
