Drake files new defamation lawsuit against UMG over diss track that âtags him a pedophileâ

Canadian rapper, Drake has filed a new defamation lawsuit against his rival Kendrick Lamar over his diss track Not Like Us that tags him a pedophile.
According to reports on TMZ, Drake filed a lawsuit against Universal Music Group for spreading the âfalse and malicious narrativeâ that he is a paedophile.
According to the suit of Drake, he stated that UMG knew Lamarâs diss track would be used to defame his personality.
The rapper accused UMG of allowing the âinflammatory and shocking allegationsâ.
According to the lawsuit, UMG paid a third party to use bots to increase the songâs streams by at least 30 million.
The company also allegedly engaged in a âpay for playâ scheme with at least one radio promoter and assigned the track as a âchart-topperâ based on fraudulent data.
The lawsuit also makes a point of stating it is not against Kendrick himself.
âThis lawsuit is not about the artist who created Not Like Us,â the suit states.
âIt is, instead, entirely about UMG, the music company that decided to publish, promote, exploit, and monetizeâ a song that contained false claims.
