Man arrests lady for scamming him of ₦500k with fake pregnancy, lies about CS

A Nigerian man has shared a detailed account of how he arrested a lady who scammed him of over ₦500,000 with a fake pregnancy and lies about a cesarean section (CS) delivery.

The man, who chose to remain anonymous, revealed that he met the woman in Ibadan. “Around April 2017, I rounded up a project in Ibadan and I needed to clear my head.”

“My friends then suggested I was spending too much time alone and we should go to the club (it was Thursday â€" ladies night).”

“We toured like 4 clubs around Oluyole-Challenge and landed at one around Bodija. There a nice-looking girl was winking at me incessantly that I got startled and told my friends. Before we finished discussing, she walked over to our table and asked to talk to me.”

“Dumb me followed her to the toilet lobby and she just kissed me. Dumb me responded to the kiss Agba. That was the beginning of my painful experience with her. She wasn’t with a phone, so I wrote my number for her as we were leaving the club.”

“Approximately one week later she called and the continuous knacks started, we’ll meet up randomly at my place to knack. It continued for 2-3 weeks straight, till I noticed she was bringing her clothes in small polytene bags to my house in between.”

“Around that time, I got another project at Abuja, so I had to discharge her. Na so she came up with pregnancy ooo. Agba, I almost had a heart attack, was at Abuja and couldn’t verify anything, so I started sending money for upkeep and antenatals. From May to December, I sent over half a million, plus delivery too cos she claimed to do CS.”

“She claims she was putting to bed by December ending. I couldn’t think straight, didn’t calculate the duration of pregnancy too. I shaa sent money. I came back to Ibadan in January to come and see my supposed babies cos she claimed it was twins she was carrying.”

“Hmmmmn, High chief, no single baby o, the girl just scammed me and chopped me. I did investigation and discovered that was how she’s been moving mad, roping her clients into believing she’s pregnant and collecting money from them.”

“Like, that’s the business she does for a living. I arrested her and still bailed her with my money when pleas plenty and they were calling me from the station too much. No single scar on her tummy from the CS she claims to have done.”

“That event almost ruined my relationship in Nov 2020 cos my now wife saw the text messages we exchanged when she claimed she was pregnant.”

The man shared this story to warn others about similar scams. As he revealed the experience, concerned individuals flooded the comment section to share their thoughts and offer support.
