Man offers sheep, goat and two plastic chairs as part of his penalty for stealing phone in Abia community

A security outfit, Otampa Security Services has apprehended one Onyedikachi Ukazu, a resident of Akoba kindred in Otampa, Isuikwuato Local Government Area of Abia State, for allegedly stealing a mobile phone.
According to a statement released by Otampa Security Services and shared with the press, the suspect was publicly paraded through the community, highlighting the organization’s commitment to transparency and justice.
The statement said the suspect who was unable to meet the N100,000 restitution demand, has offered a sheep, a goat, a mobile phone, and two plastic chairs as part of his penalty.
The statement further noted that Ukazu has been granted a one-month period to fulfil the financial obligation, failing which the pledged items will be forfeited.
Meanwhile, the stolen mobile phone has been recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
âThis incident serves as a stern warning to criminal elements within the community, emphasizing the need for them to either reform or face the consequences of their actions.
