Man at risk of eviction after $60K is stolen in hacked mobile app

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to lament his plight as he faces homelessness due to his inability to pay rent.
According to him, he had saved over $60,000 in a mobile app, but the owner of the app claimed it was hacked, leaving him unable to access his funds.
In a post shared on his page via X (formerly Twitter), the man expressed his frustration, revealing that despite having a significant amount of money in the app, he has been unable to withdraw it.
He stated that the app owner has not provided a solution since the alleged hack, and as a result, he is now on the verge of being evicted.
He further explained that he has been patient but now has just a few days left before he is forced to leave his home.
In desperation, he pleaded to be given at least $10,000 from his savings to cover his rent and other expenses.
His full statement reads:
âOmo, I donât know what else to do at this point, but here I am on the brink of homelessness because I canât pay my rent. Meanwhile, I have over $60K that I donât know if Iâm ever going to get because @Fejizzy claimed @Patricia was hacked since 2023.â
âIâve been patient since this happened. Everyone knows how hard it is to survive in this country, let alone pay bills when youâre not making any income. A lot has happened since then, but how much can I even say?â
âI tried everything I could to make Hanu understand my concerns, but I donât think heâs ever going to acknowledge them. I even had to pay for Twitter Blue because only âVerified Accountsâ can message him! Omo.â
âMy rent is due in two weeks, and I currently donât have the money because Iâve exhausted all my options. All I ask is just a small portion of my moneyâ"$10K out of my $60K+ with Hanuâs Patriciaâ"so I can pay my bills and sort things out for myself.â
âIâve been struggling since this happened, and I believe this is fair enough. Please help me beg @Fejizzy to address my concerns. He is online but is intentionally ignoring this!â
