âIâm safe and soundâ- King Sunny Ade debunks rumoured kidnap

Veteran Juju artiste Sunday Adegeye, popularly known as King Sunny Ade, has released a short video to dismiss the claim that he is missing.
LIB had earlier reported that the musicianâs daughter, Damilola Adeniyi, raised concerns over his whereabouts. Damilola had alleged that her brother who serves as their father’s manager has ââabducted” him and was holding him in an isolated area against his will. She also alleged that Dayo has been making their father perform in places against his will.
However in a video recording released online, King Sunny Ade dismissed his daughterâs claim, saying his children thought he was kidnapped because they didnât see him around when he went on a holiday.
In the video, the 78-year-old musician thanked his fans for their support, stressing that no one kidnapped him.
âMy children wanted to see me, they thought I was kidnapped after I went away for a few days to rest. But I thank God, I was not k!dnapped and I didnât k!dnap myself.â
Earlier,Dayo released a statement announcing that the music artiste âis safe and sound.â
âThere is no truth to the kidnapping rumor, and we are taking appropriate steps to address the situation and identify those responsible for spreading this false information.â
Adegeye reassured fans and well-wishers that âthe King of World Beats, King Sunny Ade, is not abducted or kidnapped by anyone.
