Popular comedian, Basketmouth throws a jab at Wizkid and Burna Boy as he hails Davido for his consistency and use of his real name.

During the 2025 AY Live show, the stand-up comedian took a swipe at some of the Nigerian musicians.

He noted that he likes Davido for his consistency and for keeping his team together through all the years.

According to him, Davido did a good thing by using his real name, unlike Wizkid, who added ‘kid’ to his name without realizing that he was going to grow old.

He opined that Wizkid had tried to change his name many times, but his first name remains stuck.

Basketmouth made similar analysis of Burna Boy’s name for adding ‘Boy’ to his name.

“David has been consist. He even used his real name, Davido. Consistent for years. David has been going on stage with a 100 people. Till today him still maintain that number..Wizkid â€" wizkid give himself wizkid him forget say him go grow old. Now he is struggling to change the name, nobody gree â€" machala, na lie you are a Wizkid. Big Bird â€" na lie, you’re a kid. Wizkid no be as e dey be for.
