Man kidnaps himself, demands ₦20,000 ransom

A Nigerian man has reportedly faced punishment after allegedly staging his own kidnapping and demanding a ransom of just ₦20,000.

This was revealed in a video shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by user @Akinjoshua2017.

The individual who recorded the video added a caption mocking the incident: “You kidnap yourself and ask for ₦20k ransom. Very upcoming kidnapper.”
