Singer Davido has fired back at Nollywood actress Sarah Martins after she made a lengthy post suggesting that his recent restaurant campaign should have been launched in Chioma’s name.

Sarah had shared a photo of Chioma and wrote that, as a fan of Davido, she expected the singer to open a restaurant for Chioma or in her name. She mentioned Chioma’s culinary skills and added that “5ive Star Restaurant by Chef Chi” would have made more sense.

“This is coming from a place of LOVE because I am a huge fan of OBO… I honestly feel Davido’s restaurant should have been opened for Chioma or probably in her name… I was really anticipating a day Davido would happily announce Chioma’s restaurant not Davido’s,” she wrote in part.

But Davido didn’t find the post flattering.

In a sharp response in the comment section, the singer wrote:

“U no get sense… no restaurant was opened that was a promotional campaign with @foodcourt_app for my album.. now take my wife’s picture off page.”

His comment quickly caught attention online, with fans praising him for defending Chioma’s image and setting the record straight.
