“You are my forever” – Newly married Nigerian man declares love for his wife on a billboard

A Nigerian man, Joseph Don, has declared his love for his wife, Ugonna Attiah, by renting out a billboard.

The couple tied the knot this month. 

Joseph took to Facebook on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, to share a photo of the billboard, with their traditional wedding pictures, that proclaim “You are my forever”

According to Joseph, a year ago, he had told Ugonna that he was going to put up a billboard after he marries her but she laughed it off as a joke. 

“So a little over a year ago. Out of the blues, I told my wife who was my friend then… “Las Las na me go marry you” And she said “God forbid”. No she didn’t h8te me. We were very good friends. As in…We don see each other finish. So it felt out of place…But then… I told her… “When I marry you, I will put up a billboard” Promise made. Promise fulfilled. She no believe am. I will show you her reaction tomorrow,” he wrote.
