Don’t marry “them” – South African doctor advises people after opening up about financial abuse she allegedly suffered in her marriage to Nigerian husband

A South African doctor, Celiwe Ndaba, who recently opened up about the alleged financial abuse she suffered in her marriage to her estranged Nigerian husband, has advised people not to marry from a âparticular tribe.â
On Tuesday, July 29, the doctor shared a post on tribes one should never marry, writing; âNext thing they will call me a tribalist or Xenophobic. But if my highly publicized story doesn’t teach you anything at all. Please grasp this. Do no marry them and I say this with all the love Momkhulu hugged me with izolo when I packed my car in the yard.”
In a series of videos which went viral in April, Dr Ndaba had narrated how she was allegedly financially exploited by her husband, leading to their separation.
The mother of three claimed she had become trapped in a the marriage for years, feeling manipulated to allegedly fund her husband’s lifestyle – in particular his desire to drive a Mercedes Benz.
Dr Ndaba, who has since sharing her story, reverted to using her maiden name, said taking out loans for her ex to buy such vehicles was the “worst decision” of her life, putting the family under huge financial pressure.
