Ruger donates 50 laptops to old school, grants scholarship to student

Nigerian singer-songwriter Ruger has made headlines for his generous gesture during a visit to his former secondary school as he donates 50 laptop computers to the school and awarded a full scholarship to a student who impressed him by singing.
In the clip, Ruger is seen presenting the laptops to the schoolâs management and addressing the students and staff.
He also singled out a student named Lucky Friday, who sang for him during the event, announcing that he would personally sponsor the boyâs education.
Reflecting on his own time at the school, Ruger spoke warmly about how impactful those years were for him, expressing gratitude for the foundation the school provided.
âOn behalf of my team, me and my family, Iâm presenting 50 computer laptops to the school,â he said.
âWeâre in the computer age. We want to use this so that our education in this school will be better and more efficient. This is not all weâre going to do for this school. As God continues to bless and uplift us, weâre going to do more.â
âThe happiest part of my life was in this school, the most exciting part of my life was in this school. I thank my friends for also coming here. The boy that sang to me the other time, Lucky Friday â" I was really touched by what he did and Iâm willing to sponsor his education.â
