“I am the prize†â€" Sophia Momodu slams trolls over marriage advice
Sophia Momodu, the first babymama of Afrobeats star Davido, has clapped back at online trolls in a series of fiery Snapchat posts amid the singer’s wedding celebrations.
The drama began when Sophia shared a video on her Snapstory featuring an American man talking about dating a “free-spirited woman,†captioning it “Surviving a free spirit.â€
The clip partly read, “Messing with a free-spirited woman is not for the weak. She is free, and she has no problem showing you that she is free. My brother, that woman doesn’t belong to you.â€
Following the post, a Snapchat user urged the mother of one to get married and take cues from Wizkid’s babymamas, who “hardly post†online and “respect themselves.â€
In a sharp response, Sophia lashed out, wishing the critic and their loved ones would go blind while emphasising being the prize.
She responded, “Sarah, I hope you, your family and everyone you love go blind, cos how are you watching me when you don’t like me? Please, leave women alone. Imagine thinking you can make me feel bad cos my voice/platform is heavy. I am the prize hoe!â€.
Another user, while expressing admiration, advised her to watch her tone to avoid unnecessary drama. Sophia dismissed the suggestion, stating:
“Sweetie, I dgaf what a bunch of brokies who are dedicated to misunderstanding me have to say. Those who matter don’t mind. Also, y’all need to understand I’m a bigger bully. God is just working on me. And another thing, don’t ever come on my platform to tell me what I can or can’t talk about. Also, it’s Sophia to you.â€
In a follow-up post, Sophia told anyone who dislikes her but still watches her content to “check into a mental institute.†She also revealed that some critics had been flooding her DMs because she hasn’t bleached her skin.
“Are you people even okay? Is it by force to be yellow with weird-looking knuckles?†she wrote.
