“I don’t mind being a second wife†â€" Tiwa Savage opens up on marriage
Nigerian Afrobeat icon, Tiwa Savage has set social media ablaze after revealing she’s open to being a second wife.
The award-winning singer shared her views during a chat on the American podcast Lip Service, where she spoke candidly about love, marriage, and respect in relationships.
Tiwa explained that many of her admirers are either older or already married. Rather than dismissing the idea, she admitted she wouldn’t mind being a second wife, as long as the relationship is built on peace and mutual respect.
In her words, she said:
“I can be a second wife, but I will do it with respect. I believe the first wife will also appreciate that, and she’s going to love me, I won’t stress her.â€
She emphasized that her goal in any relationship is harmony, ensuring no one feels hurt or disrespected.
This isn’t the first time Tiwa Savage’s personal life has made headlines. She was married to music executive Tunji Balogun, with whom she shares a son. Their marriage ended in 2018 amid rumors of infidelity.
