Talent manager Teebillz has publicly revealed a vulnerable conversation he once shared with musician 2Baba (Innocent Idibia) while strongly urging the music icon to seek therapy and help amid his current marital crisis.
Teebillz shared a photo of himself with 2Baba on Instagram, recounting an emotional moment when 2Baba confided in him.
Teebillz recalled visiting Nigeria for his fatherâs birthday, where 2Baba pleaded with him to stay longer:
“My first time back in Nigeria after being gone so long, when I came for my fatherâs birthday⦠you begged me to stay longer. You paid for my ticket change, hugged me, and cried on my shoulder⦠‘Billy, Iâve had no one to talk to since you leftâ¦'”
Teebillz stated that this honesty cemented his love for the singer: “That momentâ"your honestyâ"made me love you as my big brother.”
Acknowledging his own struggles (“Iâm fighting my own demons too”), Teebillz pleaded with 2Baba to seek professional help, warning against the consequences of ignoring mental health issues, referencing deceased legends.
He wrote:
“Now itâs time to get help. Therapy⦠even clinical support if needed. Thereâs no shame in choosing life. Weâve seen how legends like Michael Jackson, Whitney, Prince, and Majek Fashek suffered when they didnât face their demons.”
Teebillz concluded his message with advice that many interpreted as a reference to 2Babaâs troubled marriage to Natasha Osawuru:
“And honestly⦠itâs better to stand alone than be with a woman who only loves your best side or feeds your worst.”
He ended by reaffirming his love: âI love you, King Two. @official2baba.â
