Media personality Toke Makinwa recently shared a touching insight into how becoming a mother has changed how people refer to her.

Since welcoming her first child in August 2025, Toke revealed that she is now more commonly called by her son’s name rather than her own.

She wrote, “No one calls me TM anymore… Everywhere I go it is ‘Mummy Yaya’… Omo mi so mi l’oruko tunâ€'tun,” expressing joy over the new affectionate title.

Toke noted that transitioning from being recognized primarily as a celebrity to being known through her child has been a deeply moving and unique experience.
