Actress Bimbo Akintola has opened up about the backlash she faced during the last elections, revealing that many Nigerians tried to bully her for supporting the current president.
Speaking on a recent episode of With Chude, she said she became upset after seeing how veteran actress Joke Silva was dragged online simply for expressing her political preference.
According to Bimbo:
“Nigerians annoy me. Don’t bully other people. We all have the right to differ in opinion. You don’t like this man? Yes, that’s your right. You prefer someone else? God bless you. But bullying people because of their choice is wrong.â€
She recalled making a video at the time, responding to those attacking her.
In her words
“I now did this video saying, okay, I’m going for the same person. Kill me. Feel free. Kill me. Let me see you change my mind with your bullying.â€
The actress said Nigerians need to understand that disagreements are normal and don̢۪t have to become hostile.
